Koi CBD vs Partnered Process CBD: Which Is the Best CBD Brand for Sleep?

CBD is rising in popularity for its many potential health benefits, including improved sleep quality. We’ll compare two leading CBD brands: Koi CBD and Partnered Process CBD, to determine the best CBD brand for sleep.

Cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD, is a compound found in marijuana and hemp. Unlike marijuana’s main active ingredient, THC, CBD does not cause any “high,” meaning you can take it without feeling impaired. Additionally, in contrast to THC, CBD is legal in all 50 states, so you can lawfully reap its many purported benefits, especially when it comes to attaining a good night’s sleep.

Health benefits of CBD

Studies have shown that CBD can reduce anxiety and help ease anxiety-inducing conditions,  including obsessive-compulsive disorder and PTSD. CBD is also used to treat chronic pain and inflammation. However, one of its most widely researched uses is as a sleep aid. CBD has a calming effect on the nervous system and boosts serotonin in the brain, contributing to restful sleep.

Its effects on anxiety also encourage satisfying sleep, as anxiety often contributes to sleep disorders like insomnia. If you’ve been struggling to drift off into dreamland, consider CBD, and look to two particular brands: Koi CBD and Partnered Process CBD. Below, we compare the two and tell you which one is the best remedy for sleep issues.

Koi CBD vs Partnered Process CBD:

CBD content

While scientists have yet to agree on an exact number for just how many CBD milligrams are best for high-quality sleep, experts recommend starting with anywhere from 1 to 6 milligrams of CBD per 10 pounds of body weight. However, lower levels of CBD may cause alertness, whereas taking a higher dose can better induce drowsiness. Designed for sleep, Koi CBD offers CBD gummies and a disposable vape; the gummies contain 10 to 25 milligrams of CBD each, and the vape has 2 grams of CBD. Gummies allow you to self-regulate your CBD intake, but with vape, you can’t monitor how much CBD you consume, making it less attractive to CBD novices.

Partnered Process CBD has sleep-specific CBD oils, tinctures, soft gels, gummies, loose flowers, and pre-rolled joints. At 25 milligrams each, its gummies contain a slightly higher dose of CBD than the Koi CBD gummies. Its other offerings also have elevated CBD content; the tincture has 66 milligrams of CBD per milliliter serving, while its oils have around 33 milligrams of CBD per milliliter. As with the Koi CBD vape, the flowers and pre-rolled joints are more difficult to dose, though Partnered Process recommends best practices when smoking CBD.

Given the variety of dosage options that Partnered Process offers within its CBD-infused sleep product lineup, it’s the winner of this round.

Additional active ingredients

Koi CBD and Partnered Process CBD sleep supplements contain additional active ingredients. Each of Koi CBD’s Nighttime Rest gummies includes 2.5 milligrams of melatonin and 10 milligrams of CBD; the brand’s Complete CBN gummies – also suggested for sleep – comprises 25 milligrams of CBD, 10 milligrams of CBN, and 5 milligrams of delta-9 THC.

CBN, or cannabinol, is another cannabinoid found in cannabis. Research into CBN is in its nascent stages compared to the extensive studies on CBD. That said, drowsiness is a side effect of CBN, especially when taken with CBD. Also, the naturally occurring compound delta-9 THC in cannabis makes you high, which is different from melatonin, CBN, and CBD, which are non-psychoactive. Because of this, delta-9 THC isn’t legal everywhere, which will prevent some from trying Complete CBN gummies.

Partnered Process CBD products have no delta-9 THC, period. Instead, Partnered Process uses melatonin, CBN, or both in some of its supplements, which combine well with CBD to promote deeper, more restful sleep. For the delta-9 THC-averse, this makes the company’s CBD sleep supplements a safer choice, as you don’t risk getting high.

Koi CBD vs Partnered Process CBD:

Supplement types

The Koi CBD sleep-focused supplements are limited to gummies and disposable vapes. Partnered Process, meanwhile, has several oils and tinctures besides gummies, flowers, and pre-rolled joints. Since only some enjoy smoking, the flowers and pre-rolled joints may be less appealing, while oils and tinctures offer a great alternative to the sweeter gummy edibles. The diversity of the Partnered Process CBD products makes it a champion here, too.

So who wins?

Of the two brands reviewed, Partnered Process CBD is the clear choice for those who want a  selection of entirely non-psychoactive, CBD-based sleep aids. Koi CBD has fewer options available, and of the supplements it does offer, at least one contains delta-9 THC. In addition, Partnered Process CBD’s sleep supplements are varied and natural, ensuring superior sleep quality without substantial side effects.
